Founded with a vision to give voice to diverse communities, Ethnic Synergy created history in Edmonton in December 2012 by introducing the city’s first Bangla news medium. Since then, it has continued to embrace the rich literature, language, and heritage of Bangla culture while promoting inclusion, dialogue, and Alberta’s cultural diversity.

14 Years of Milestones
Ethnic Synergy launches as Edmonton’s first Bangla news medium, in Bengali and English.
With UNICEF, Ethnic Synergy helps raise funds for Syrian refugee children and Fort McMurray wildfire relief.
A fundraising concert at the India Centre contributes to Alberta’s 3× matching program for Jasper wildfire relief.
